Save Soil!

95% of our food grows in soil, which is supplied with nutrients, water-holding capillaries and air by microorganisms.

Industrial agriculture, deforestation or pollution kill microorganisms, 52% of all agricultural land worldwide is degraded.

Soils that are effectively dead lack minerals and trace elements, so that fruits, vegetables and grains are now lacking more than 50% of their ingredients, affecting poor and rich countries alike.

In 50 to 60 years, soils are threatened with disappearance, global inflation, hunger crises and migration of unknown proportions are companions.

The Save Soil! initiative advocates for saving soil worldwide.
