The Fokker 100 is a short-haul aircraft from the Dutch manufacturer Fokker, which first entered service in 1986. With a capacity of around 100 passengers, it belongs to the regional jet category.
The aircraft is characterised by its efficiency and economy, which made it a popular choice for regional airlines. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Tay 620-15 turbofan engines, the Fokker 100 reaches a cruising speed of around 800 km/h and a maximum range of around 3,330 kilometres. Thanks to its reliable technology and spacious cabin layout, the Fokker 100 remains in service even decades after its maiden flight. Production ended in 1997 after Fokker went bankrupt, but many aircraft continue to fly around the world.
